I love this time of year. I love putting up the Christmas tree and baking the cookies. I love finding that perfect gift and that everyone is generally in an all round good mood. I also love looking back over everything I have achieved.
There's no denying it, 2010 was a difficult one. The financial downturn meant that while being our 4th year of business when we should have been experience some payback from being more established and putting in 3 years of really hard work, people were really scrimping and the outlook looked well - a bit grim.
Determined to make it through the recession we have worked smarter, continuously focussing in on what it is that makes us unique. We are boutique, we take a specialised, cutomised, people focussed approach to everything we do. We are creative, we come up with unique ideas and implement them in a way that only Red Creative can. We are passionate, we love what we do and there is nothing that makes us happier than that look of delight when a client see's it all come together for the first time.
We started the year off with a bang producing some of our most beautiful weddings to date. A real highlight was working with Courtney & Todd to style their absolutely stunning wedding out at Castaways.
I also had the privilege of working on two weddings of good friends of ours. Such a pleasure to be able to give a wedding gift that helps make their day extra special.
We got to work alongside some great NZ brands this year including ANZ, LJ Hooker, Sanford, Simpson Western & BDO. We also continued our relationship with Ellerslie Racing, putting together looks for some of the hottest parties in town.
We couldn't have done all of this of course without the support of our wonderful suppliers, venues and clients. We are super grateful for all of you who love Red Creative as much as we do - Thank you!
Was it a hard year? Absolutely. It was also our most successful year to date and 2011 is only going to be bigger and better!
